CSI Lawyer 12.1
CSI Lawyer version 12.1 primarily contains usability improvements requested by the customers. Among the new features are e.g. the possibility to quickly preview preliminary invoices and to specify users' hour price changes in the software in advance. The version also enables a more comprehensive integration with iManage document management than before.
The version 12.1 may verify the database integrity in case the version currently used is older than 12.0. We recommend the power user updating the software to send to CSI the error log of invalid foreign keys in order to have them fixed.

General improvements in software usability
- Selecting rows with the Ctrl+a key combination works faster
- The tab key can be used to move to the search results in the Look up Records windows
- All lists show the number of retrieved or filtered rows
- Important notes are better displayed in lists
- Green CSI theme is available for green color lovers
Customer
- Matter status and identification review date have been added to the lists of customer identifications
- The software reminds users of the shared folder and SharePoint integration of the need to transfer documents when merging customers
Matter
- The payer shares can be specified with four decimals
- The closing date of the reactivated matter is hidden
Pricing
- The source of the transaction’s hour price is displayed at a more detailed level
- The hour price changes of users can be specified in the software in advance
- Information about the role price list in use is displayed in the Role prices folder of the customer and the matter
- The discount can be applied to the general expense even when the payer is not the matter principal
- Exchange rates can be updated also by normal users
Entries
- It is possible to predefine status options for activity types and use them to define the status of individual activities
- Users can close only a single timer and leave the remaining timers active in the software
- Power users can close old transaction posting periods for all users at once
Preliminary invoice
- Preliminary invoices can now be previewed quickly without opening the printing parameter window
- All review turns of an individual preliminary invoice reviewer can be skipped at once
Invoices
- Unnecessary proof invoices can be deleted from the software after creating the legal aid claim
- The VAT handling of cost-forward expenses according to the payer taxability has been corrected
- The invoicing e-mail address of the business unit can be displayed on invoices
- Invoices from all business units in the user's home country can be included in the summary invoice
- Also invoices which are marked as paid can be sent as e-invoices to Maventa
- Information about the related matter is stored in the credit invoice rows
- The specification page of the original invoice can be omitted from the payment reminder
Reporting
- The name of the report pdf saved through the report preview window is in the same language as the report is displayed in the software
- Importing a new report version into the software also enables importing its language translations
Settings
- The creation and editing rights of the customer and the matter have been specified
- The rights to create and edit notes related to different information have been unified
- The list of reports displays possible user group limitations of the reports
- In the invoice view, it is possible to add a column displaying the customer responsible
- In the expense and subscription views, it is possible add columns to display the matter owner and responsible
- Outlining the invoice printing parameters has been made easier with a new grouping
- To improve software performance, attachments of old notes can be archived in a directory path outside the software
Integrations and plugins
- Checking the DOKS identification status is possible for several identification events at one time
- DOKS integration can be used to check whether new risk assessments have been created for customers in DOKS after the CSI identification event has been marked as done
- Bookkeeping integrations no longer try to transfer an invoice whose invoice number is already found in the bookkeeping system
- The Fortnox integration of cloud customers are automatically updated when the CSI version is updated
- When merging customers, the NetDocuments integration transfers the source customer's documents to the target customer
- The Documents folder has been returned in CSI Lawyer for customers using NetDocuments or SharePoint365 for document management
- The iManage document management system can be integrated to CSI Lawyer
- Customers using the LEDES add-on can edit user-specific LEDES Timekeeper ratings
