CSI Professional 12.0
CSI Professional version 12.0 primarily contains usability improvements requested by the customers. Among the new features are the possibility to delete old matters and the related customer information from the software and to define navigation rights for user groups based on the new "workspace" field, releasing the employee role purely for pricing purposes.
Similarly to the version 11.0, also the version 12.0 verifies the database integrity. We recommend the power user updating the software to send to CSI the error log of invalid foreign keys in order to have them fixed.

General improvements in software usability
- Searches in the payments list and in all fields containing a magnifying glass have been speeded up
- The CSI icon in the Windows bottom bar informs about new reminders and messages
- To send an activation report the user no longer needs to log into the software again
Customer
- The conflict search takes into account the customer's entire name history
- The customer number has been added to the top bar of the customer window
- The review cycle (former validity) and the review date of customer identifications have been added on the lists
- Besides an invoicing email, it is possible to add multiple cc recipients for a customer
- The Expenses folder has been added in the Customer window
- Permissions for the Merge function can be restricted to a user group only, and, to prevent mistakes, the software requests confirmation for merging customers
- A prospect's customer type is also saved for the converted customer
Matter request and matter
- The matter request field names and positions have been unified with the ones in the matter window
- As a default invoicing contact for matters, it is possible to set a user who is in a matter responsibility role or an appointed person
- From the matter, it is possible to send email to the contact person directly
- Customer number and responsible and reference have been added to the “Matter Details” report
- Matters with a price limit can be set for monitoring
It is possible to edit matter type and business area of multiple matters, and close multiple matters at once
- The software reminds for the need to remove the insider mark of the matter to be closed
- The closing date has been added in the Closed Matters view
- The customer can delete closed matters and related customer information from the software
Pricing
- User price lists containing users’ hour prices can be used for pricing similarly to role price lists
- The customer's role price list is ignored when the matter has a different currency
- In the role-based pricing model, role prices can be overridden by an hour price set for the customer
- It is possible to overdetermine the discount table on a preliminary invoice
- Matter-specific transaction type prices can be copied to sub-matters
- The pricing changes have impacts on the hour price hierarchy of the software.
Entries
- For work time entries, it is possible to set rounding accuracy
- The principal is displayed in the calendar work time entry from which a transaction has been created
- Character count has been added in the Transaction field
- For the start time and duration of critical tasks, it is possible to set default values
- When moving transactions and expenses to another matter, the same customer’s other matters are displayed as target matters by default
- The right to move and delete expenses can be limited to a user group only
- Entry security parameters restrict visibility of entries by default
- Users can add notes to expenses and transactions
Preliminary invoice
- The Open and Approved Preliminary Invoices view has replaced the Open Preliminary Invoices view
- Formatting made by the user to the transactions list of a preliminary invoice remains unchanged until the user closes the preliminary invoice window
- Only a customer that is a payer role in the matter can be changed as a preliminary invoice payer
- When approving preliminary invoices of matters in a foreign currency, the values of its entries are recalculated with a valid exchange rate
Invoices
- Normal, credit and summary invoice printouts display rounding and exchange rate differences clearer
- The taxability check of the invoice according to the payer’s home country has been specified
- The currency rounding row enables aligning invoices created from foreign currency matters
- The credit invoice amount can be calculated based on selected invoice rows
- The rounding in normal and credit invoices is only deducted from the total payable amount and displayed on the invoice as a separate row
- The Invoice Printing Parameters window is automatically closed when previewing an invoice
- Summary invoices can be printed with original sums
- Payment demands for summary invoices can be printed as PDFs
- The invoice type is added as a prefix to the name of the invoice PDF when sending the invoice by email
- Invoices printed directly to printer also get the status ”Sent”
- Delay interest percentage for invoices on a summary invoice can be displayed by customizing the summary invoice
- The last payment reminder date is displayed in the Overdue Invoices view
- To the Swedish invoice template, layout changes have been made, e.g. the Total Amount row added also in the specification page
- The Total Amount row has been added in the specification page of the Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian invoice templates, and the Estonian country package also contains an Invoice template offering a country-specific specification page.
Reporting
- The Open Transactions and Expenses report covers hour and unit price columns
- Power users have been added to the “Permanent insider list” report
Settings
- The visibility of folders for restricted users has been specified
- Navigations permissions can be set more flexibly by using the new workspace field
- New users with required user groups can be created by using an existing user as a template
- It is possible to edit budget groups and hour prices of multiple users
- It is possible to edit multiple budget rows at once
- The customer fund account window has been simplified
- Customized fields can be added to document templates
- Power users can send connection keys also for test and history databases
- Faulty plugins are ignored when updating the database
Integrations and plugins
- For entering transactions, users can be granted access to CSI MyDesk only
- For customers using NetDocuments or SharePoint for document management the Documents folder has been replaced with ribbon buttons
- Netvisor, Procountor ja Fortnox bookkeeping integrations transfer credit losses to CSI Professional as invoice alignments instead of normal payments
- In Legal aid claims, it is possible to choose for the entries all invoicing types and preview the legal aid claim
- For Latvian and Lithuanian customers, there are country package plugins, offering country specific bilingual invoice templates and reference material formats.
